The President of India will make the first official visit to Turkmenistan

President of India Ram Nath Kovind will visit Ashgabat from 1 to 4 April. This will be the first ever visit of an Indian President to Turkmenistan, reports the edition News On AIR.

A meeting with the head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is planned during the official visit.

It is noted, that sides will discuss various issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, including the implementation of the decisions of the Central Asia-India summit, held in January this year.

Also, it is expected to sign some agreements and memorandums of understanding. For a visit to Turkmenistan Ram Nath Kovind will travel to the Netherlands.
