Turkmenistan arranged a varied culture program for the First Lady of India

A separate culture program was arranged for the wife of the President of the Republic of India, Ram Nath Kovind, Mrs. Savita Kovind, accompanying him during his state visit to Turkmenistan, the State News Agency reports.

Today, during her stay in Ashgabat, the guest visited the Bagt köşgi Wedding Palace, where she saw specific traits of the national wedding ceremony. The wife of the President of India also took a walk through one of the wonderful parks of the country’s main city.

As part of the culture program, Ms. Savita Kovind visited the exposition of the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet with magnificent examples of the world-famous Turkmen art of hand carpet weaving.

The guest also visited the capital's Celebration Center Gül Zaman, where she was offered national dishes, including sweets of the Talhan brand, awarded an international certificate. There was also a show of models of national costumes there.

In the evening, Ms. Savita Kovind admired the picturesque evening panorama of the capital from the observation deck of the Monument of Neutrality of Turkmenistan, located in the southern part of the city.
