Guided by the principles of mercy and humanism bequeathed to us by our great ancestors, in order to strengthen the cohesion and unity of the Turkmen society and each family, as well as on the occasion of the sacred Gadyr gijesi, the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country signed a Decree On pardoning convicted persons in honour of the sacred Gadyr Gijesi, releasing the pardoned citizens from further serving their basic sentences in the form of imprisonment.
