Turkmen President Arrives in Uzbekistan on State Visit

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed for the Republic of Uzbekistan on a state visit.

Senior officials saw the head of state off at Ashgabat International Airport.

Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, launched by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and continued under President Berdimuhamedov, seeks to strengthen and expand cooperation with neighboring countries. The peoples of these states and the Turkmen people are connected by shared cultural and spiritual values, as well as long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual support.

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed President Berdimuhamedov upon his arrival at Tashkent International Airport.

Friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan remain a strong example of good-neighborliness and strategic partnership in Central Asia. The two nations, bound by a shared history, culture, language and spiritual heritage, continue to grow even closer.
