A number of bilateral documents were signed at the Turkmen-Qatari talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Monday in Doha, the official Turkmen media reported.
The package of documents includes:
Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the State of Qatar on prevention and elimination of emergencies;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the General Prosecutor's Office of Turkmenistan and the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Qatar on public prosecution;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the State of Qatar in the field of youth;
- The program of cooperation for 2023-2024 between The State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the State of Qatar in the field of sports;
- The agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the State of Qatar on the promotion and mutual protection of investments;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Labor of the State of Qatar on cooperation;
- Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Qatar on the abolition of visa requirements for diplomatic and service passport holders.
President Berdimuhamedov met with executives of leading Qatari companies and investment institutions at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel on Monday as part of his state visit to Doha.
The Turkmen President also held talks with Emir of Qatar.Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
