The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will increase, Turkmen ambassador to Azerbaijan Mekan Ishanguliyev said at a briefing in Baku on Dec.4.

An important factor for cooperation between the two states is a convenient geographical location, according to the ambassador.

Touching upon economic relations between the two countries he also stressed the significance of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's visit to Azerbaijan on August 8-9.

"Our presidents held extended-format talks within this visit, 14 documents, related to trade and economic interaction were signed between our countries," Ishankuliyev said.

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan held a briefing, dedicated to the proclamation of International Day of Neutrality by the United Nations General Assembly on December 12.
