Turkmenistan sends humanitarian aid and rescue team to Türkiye

In accordance with the Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan today sent a plane with rescuers and humanitarian aid to the earthquake zone in Türkiye. This was announced by the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Ashgabat Togan Oral in his Twitter account.

According to him, in the morning a plane took off from Ashgabat, carrying a team to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake and medicines. The diplomat also said that Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Education, Sports and Health Nurmuhammet Amannepesov saw off the plane.

Let us remind that on February 6, two earthquakes with a magnitude of more than seven points occurred in the southeast of Türkiye. The death toll from the devastating earthquake exceeded 2,9 thousand people.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared seven days of national mourning in Türkiye for the victims of the natural disaster, reported “Anadolu” Agency.
