Iran’s non-oil trade turnover with the four Caspian littoral states Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan amounted to $2.525 billion in the Iranian year 1399 (ended March 2020), IRNA news agency cites the Spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Ruhollah Latifi as saying on Monday.
Latifi said the weight of the traded goods was 6.242 million tons, adding that Iran exported 3.125 million tons of non-oil goods worth $1.856 billion to the four countries during the period.
Most of the Iranian non-oil goods were purchased by Azerbaijan (over $510.9 million), followed by Russia (over $504 million), Kazakhstan (nearly $168 million) and Turkmenistan (over $137.4 million).
In the same period Iran imported more than 3.1 million tons of non-oil goods worth more than $1.2 billion from these countries, among which Russia ranked first with 2.9 million tons (over $1.07 billion), according to the IRICA.
The IRICA official noted that Iran’s trade balance with the four Caspian littoral states was over $117 million dollars.
In the Iranian year 1399, the value of Iran’s total non-oil trade stood at $73 billion.
