On 3 April President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a field session of the Security Council to wrap up the results of the first quarter of 2018, the state information agency TDH reports.
After the session the head of state and executives of Turkmenistan’s law enforcement agencies headed to the shooting range where President Berdymukhammedov once again demonstrated his skills to shoot from a silencer-mounted assault rifle IWI Tavor and judging by small recoil even shooting a small-bore gun with one hand.
Following Berdymukhammedov, heads of military and law enforcement authorities shot service guns.
At the end of the meeting Defense Minister Yaylym Berdyev presented President Berdymukhammedv with a bicycle featuring the symbols of the car rally “Amul-Khazar” which is scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan.
Let us recall that Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov visits the country’s border crossing checkpoints on a regular basis and personally inspects military machinery and participates in target practice.
The head of state became known all over the world after he had first appeared on TV screens in August 2017 wearing full military gear, to shoot from a gun and assault rifle, and demonstrate his knife-throwing skills.
