Turkmen Ambassador Meets With Secretary General of World Customs Organization

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, met with the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, Ian Saunders, on Monday, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium reports.

During the meeting, both parties noted that harmonious cooperation between customs services can positively impact regional trade growth and emphasized the special importance of cooperation in the customs sector.

The discussion highlighted bilateral cooperation and collaboration between customs services in promoting regional trade development.

The Turkmen Ambassador also presented the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization with a Turkmen carpet featuring an image of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.

According to the report, this exquisite carpet, woven by Turkmen carpet weavers, will be kept in the museum of the World Customs Organization as a symbol of Turkmenistan's rich heritage.
