On the 16th of September 2019, the presentation of the new book entitled “Turkmen Alabay” written by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The heads and staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, chiefs and representatives of the diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, heads of the diplomatic missions of the country accredited abroad, representatives of the international and local media, as well as the representatives of the scientific institutions of the country, rectors, professors and students of higher educational institutions participated to this event.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan T.Komekov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan S.M.Ahmadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan O.Tabanyuhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Sun Weidong, Charge d’affaires ad interim of the European Union Delegation to Turkmenistan Lubomir Frebort, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan B.Zahyrov, as well as the students of this institute addressed the audience during the presentation.
In their speeches, the participants of the presentation noted the significance of present unique work of the President of Turkmenistan. The narration consists of interesting facts about the merits of the breed, archeological data and ethnographical information.
The significance of this thoroughbred dog breed which has been the companion and protector of Turkmen people from ancient times is reflected in the book filled with colorful illustrations.
It was noted that the Turkmen Alabay is an integral part of Turkmen culture and heritage while the book itself will foster humane values from generation to generation.
The current work has also been published in Russian and English languages.
